The El-Nashar Team won Best Community and Charity project
What the judges said:
‘The judges’ choice of winning entry combined inspiring charity work together with a well-considered community project. The whole Practice team has become involved in taking the oral health message to the younger members of their local area by the traditional route of school and pre-school visits. They have undertaken numerous ‘meet the public’ events in support of National Smile Month and have commenced courtesy car collections for elderly patients. Their charity events have seen eight different organisations supported. The fund-raising projects include friendly takes on television challenge programmes where Practice staff members compete against each other in teams supporting good causes. The judges were told of glamorous dental balls in aid of charity. Since it is often said that charity begins at home perhaps when they return to base this win will give their next ball a bit of extra sparkle.’
