Bridge2Aid – Carry the Baton

In October we took part in Practice Plan’s National Relay. The idea was to pass a baton, hand-crafted in Tanzania between as many dental practices as possible. It started off with Bridge2Aid in Tanzania and the aim was to follow the baton around the UK- with fundraising activities taking place at each practice along the way.

The baton was brought over by the Bridge2Aid team in May for the BDA conference and has been passed from practice to practice over the past few months. It has now been returned to Tanzania by the Practice Plan team.

We raised £419.00 from our charity activity which was completing an Assault course at Ashcombe activity centre. There were two teams of 8 competing against each other and of course Hassan’s team won.

It was a great afternoon wet,muddy and challenging, the spectators enjoyed it as much as the participants!!!
