Probe Dental Awards 2009

We have won the prestigious Probe national dentistry awards again. El-Nashar Dental Care triumphed with the award Team of the Year 2009 a new category this year and, for the third year running, Dental Team Support.
In total 341 dental practices across the country entered the dental awards. The ceremony was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 24th April 2009.

To win, the judges examined all aspects of dental care and the team's ethos to improving the patient experience.
The judges said that the team showed time and again that they have a special bonding, making them stand out.
El-Nashar Go Digital

We now have exciting new technology at El-Nashar Dental Care in the form of the very latest direct digital imaging.
Brand new intra oral cameras and digital x-ray equipment have been installed in all our treatment rooms. Digital imaging has revolutionised the way we can accurately diagnose and treat disease. The new technology gives much clearer images and they appear immediately on screen cutting out the time needed to develop x-ray films.
A great advantage of using digital x-rays is that it reduces the exposure of radiation to the patient.
Introduction of courtesy car for private patients
ANOTHER FIRST FOR EL-NASHAR DENTAL CARE

As part of continually improving patient care, we have now introduced a courtesy car for our private patients.
This service is free of charge to private patients living in the Newton Abbot area. We have a charity box for Rowcroft Hospice in the car and patients are welcome to make a donation if they would like to do so.
The use of the service should be requested when making your appointment.
El-Nashar Summer Party

Our 2nd annual charity event took place on Saturday 13th June 2009 at the Passage House Hotel, Kingsteignton and it was attended by 155 guests.
The party had an international flavour with each table themed on a country. Some of the guests joined in the spirit of the evening by dressing to the theme of their table. Our celebrity guest at the evening was chef Michael Caines MBE who is the patron of Families for Children.

As well as being treated to fine cuisine the evening was packed with entertainment from a silent auction, raffle, heads and tails game through to a surprise solo from our guest opera singer Sally Eveleigh and dancing.

The evening raised a grand total of £6300.00 for our two charities Devon Air Ambulance and Families for Children.
School Visits
Our oral health promotion activities have been extended into the community and involve visits to Primary and Pre-schools in the Newton Abbot District of Teignbridge, teaching children about healthy teeth and healthy eating as well as promoting national campaigns such as Smile Month, Smoking Cessation and Oral Cancer awareness. Our aim is to raise awareness by the understanding of the process of dental disease and the major part the individual plays in preventing it. Our objective is taking a consistent dental health message into the community.
