Botox ™ Injections
This is a simple, non-surgical technique most commonly used to combat signs of ageing. Facial muscles are constantly active and as a consequence the skin overlying the muscle becomes creased, causing wrinkles. These wrinkles become much more prominent as we age.
Botox ™, a natural purified protein available as a prescribed medication, can be injected into these muscles. It works by temporarily reducing the activity of the muscle which, in turn, smoothes the skin. Treatment involves a few tiny injections and takes about 15 minutes. Benefits can be seen within one to two weeks and the effects normally last four to six months. Repeated treatments not only increase the effective period but can also prevent new lines from forming.
Botox ™ injections are most effective in the following areas:

Dermal Fillers – Restylane ®
Youthful skin is rich in a substance called hyaluronic acid (HA) which is responsible for hydration, softness and fullness of the skin. As we age, however, our natural production of HA decreases leading to signs of ageing such as loss of fullness and the appearance of lines and folds.
Restylane ® is an injectable form of pure HA, which is able to give skin a helping hand, hydrating and lifting the skin to give back volume. It is because Restylane ® so closely resembles our body’s HA that is is well tolerated within our body with minimal risk of adverse reactions.
Treatment takes about 30 minutes and results can be seen almost instantly. It lasts 6-9 months in the lip and up to 12 months in other areas.
