The practice will be closed from Friday the 29th of March to Monday the 1st of April inclusive for Easter.

We are delighted to announce that we have recently purchased new, state-of-the-art technology. We have a brand new CBCT scanner and Carestream CS3700 Intraoral Scanner.
Accurate and high-quality scans are crucial for the diagnosis and treatment of our patients and our new CBCT scanner features the industry’s leading dental imaging and 3D technology.
Here are some of the key features of the Carestream CS9600 CBCT Scanner system:
It delivers outstanding precision every time and enables us to achieve high-quality and reproducible images
This is the only system that has an integrated retractable seat that allows patients to sit comfortably whilst they are being scanned, it also allows us to comfortably scan patients who may need higher stability
Cameras and touch-screen allow for easy and exact positioning of our patients
The system records each patient’s parameters, making follow-up imaging simple with a single touch
The additional face scanning feature helps patients to better understand their treatment plans, due to the realistic 3D facial images that are automatically added onto the x-ray images and 3D models
We also have the ‘Carestream CS3700’ Intraoral Scanner which is the most advanced intraoral scanner currently on the market.

Mahir graduated in 2016 from Peninsula Dental School and spent a year in practice in Plymouth before moving on to work in the Oral and Maxillofacial surgery department at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital.
Mahir enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with a particular interest in restorative dentistry, where he wishes to pursue postgraduate or specialist training. He has won prizes for clinical case presentations, audit projects and as an investigator in research. He also enjoys teaching and is a clinical supervisor for dental students at Peninsula Dental School.
Outside of dentistry, Mahir is interested in sport, mainly football (big Liverpool fan!), basketball, boxing and mixed martial arts.

El-Nashar’s Annual Team Day
El-Nashar Dental Care had their 14th annual team day held at Edgemoor Hotel, Bovey Tracey on Friday 3rd November.
The day is held for the team to get together and focus on how the last year has gone, as well as discussing what we want to achieve in the next year.
We discussed how we can continue to improve the patient care and services that we provide. We also use it as an opportunity to update the staff on clinical standards and this year we focussed on CQC requirements to ensure that the whole team is working to the same standard.
We took part in various team exercises which helped us to set next year’s business objectives and look at what makes El-Nashar Dental Care different to other practices.
There were 26 members of staff that attended the day and when the team were asked to write down what they liked most about working at El-Nashar Dental Care, overwhelmingly they all said the team of people they work with (see above image).
